IPWEAQ is the peak body representing those working in the public works sector in Queensland.
Our mission is to create a vibrant, vital supportive community for those engaged in the public works sector which serves to enhance the quality of life for all Queensland communities.
We do this by advancing the skills, knowledge and resources available to those involved in the planning and provision of public works and services.
Our conferences (five each year) are must-attend events which highlight the strong sense of community our members enjoy. Our leading-edge technical products are widely-adopted and our quarterly e-Journal, Engineering for Public Works is valued for its technical and industry-relevant content. IPWEAQ's comprehensive, innovative professional development program exceeds the needs of members and industry and our excellence awards are highly sought after. Our Knowledge Centre is an essential resource for anyone involved in public works in Queensland.
As the central advisory and advocacy body within Queensland’s urban water industry, qldwater is a collaborative hub, working with its members to provide safe, secure and sustainable urban water services to Queensland communities.
We continue to advocate on your behalf influencing government and industry at every opportunity.
And what is obvious when our members get together, as we do regularly at our state and regional conferences, is that we take great pride in the projects we deliver because we know we’re making a difference.
IPWEAQ’s role in our ever-changing environment is to inform, connect, represent and lead and that is why the challenges ahead are our opportunities and we welcome them. Join with us as we strive to make Queensland great.
