Keith H Wood Medal
This medal recognises an outstanding engineer in public works who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and contribution to both the industry and IPWEA for a significant number of years and is worthy of the highest industry commendation. Eligibility does not preclude an engineer now acting in a Chief Executive Officer role or other capacity in the private or public sector.
The award is made in honour of Keith H Wood AM, a founder of the Australian Local Government Engineer’s Association which later became the Institute of Municipal Engineering Australia, now the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA).
Nominations must provide convincing reasons for the nominee's entitlement for the award with three referees in support of the nomination. Nominations must then be endorsed by the IPWEAQ Board at the next board meeting to be held 23 March 2017. This is the most prestigious award presented by IPWEA and only the highest calibre of applicant will be considered.
The winner will be announced at the IPWEA International Public Works Conference in Perth, 23 August 2017.
